Fitness Trainer Full Time • Fredericksburg, VA (Plank Road) About the Role As a Fitness Trainer, you will operate the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). Responsibilities include creating class schedules, engaging members on the club floor, promoting the Judgement Free Zone®, performing walk-throughs of fitness areas, conducting prospective member calls and tours, greeting members, answering phones, maintaining a clean facility, and other daily duties. Daily Responsibilities Creating a class schedule for members including Orientation and DYOP (Develop your own program). Proactively engaging with members on the club floor regarding their fitness goals; instructing on safe equipment usage and providing support. Promoting our Judgement Free Zone® by connecting with members, offering assistance, and upholding club policies. Performing comprehensive walk-throughs of fitness areas and addressing issues quickly. Performing prospective member calls and tours; assessing membership needs and offering Trainer services. Greeting members/guests, answering phones, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and spa amenities, keeping restrooms clean, and following cleaning schedules. Qualifications 6-12 months of customer service experience (preferred). 18 years of age or older. Ability to pass a background check. Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (training provided). Nationally Certified Training Certificate required. Basic computer proficiency. Physical Demands Continual standing and moving throughout the club. Continual communication in person or on the phone. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Exposure to cleaning chemicals. Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities. Frequent bending and twisting to accomplish tasks.
